Houston based Zentropy features creatively arranged covers and original songs, complex vocal harmonies with a strong emphasis on the groove. Zentropy is inspired by jam bands such as the Grateful Dead and Phish, blues/rock artists like Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix and works to mix these influences with New Orleans jazz, funk and R&B stylings to create a potent musical mojo
Zentropy’s quest is to spontaneously create, through group improvisation, amazing music by tapping into the abundant but disorderly energy all around us. In short, we seek to reach a state where “the music plays the band”. Whether we get there or not, we promise that it will be an interesting and fun musical journey!
